About Malbork Castle

The Teutonic Knights originally built the fortress starting around 1274. Today, it stands as the largest castle in the world by land area. The massive brick Gothic complex covers 21 hectares.

You will explore three main areas during a visit. The The High Castle is the oldest monastic heart of the complex. The Middle Castle housed the Grand Masters' Palace. The Outer Fortifications served as the vast functional utility ring.

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, it operates as a multi-museum complex. You can view medieval armor, historic weapons, and Baltic amber carvings.

Picked me up and dropped me off right from my hotel. The tour guide was phenomenal; very knowledgeable about all aspects of the castle and the other exhibitions. Highly recommend.

What a remarkable tour and guide/driver. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and appreciated the delightful apple fritter my guide brought me after touring Malbork.

This castle is very nice. Although he was destroyed on the wwII they rebuild it and can take up to 2-3 hours to visit it. There is not furniture on the castle, but the audio heads that they offer you (I payed around 10 euros the ticket that included the audio headsets) are very helpful. If you want to get on the top terrace you need to pay another 2 euros.

A long day but we'll worth it! The travel between stops provides a respite. Lucas was engaging, entertaining, informative and friendly. When the tour was halfway he was feeling like family.

First, the Malbork trip: the guide/driver drives me to the Malbork and the guiding is through audio guide, not through this guide/driver. The guide/driver then drives me to lunch and then Westerplatte. Most of the explanation done by the guide/driver is at Westerplatte. The guide/driver is very helpful and enthusiastic about sharing both serious and fun facts about Gdansk and Poland in general
